Essential Information

Extended GP Access

We are now working with the 5 GP Practices in Aldershot to run joint evening clinics between 18:30 and 20:00 every weekday evening and between 09:00 and 12:00 on Saturday mornings. We will usually have both GP and nurse appointments available and most regular GP services are covered. The clinics are held at ACfH and sometimes other practice locations and you might see a GP or nurse from any local GP practice. They will however have full access to your medical record in exactly the same way as your regular GP does. In addition there are a limited number of Sunday morning appointments available via our Out of Hours partner at Frimley Park Hospital. All Extended Access appointments are longer than standard GP appointments slots at 15 minutes and can be booked as usual via your normal GP reception team.

Named Accountable GP

In accordance with NHS England regulations, all patients registered with The Victoria Practice have been allocated a Named GP who is responsible for coordinating their care. You do not have to see your named GP and can continue to book appointments with any GP in the practice. If you are unsure who your named GP is, please ask at reception.

Friends and Family Test

We are obliged by NHS England to offer all our patients the opportunity to comment on our services by asking the simple question " Would you recommend us to your Friends and Family?". We offer this automatically by text message after every appointment you attend. If you do not receive this invitation it is usually because you have not given us your current moble phone number, so please update your records at reception or using our online services. If you do not have a mobile number you can also participate in the Friends & Family Test by completing a form at our reception desk.

Publication of Net Earnings

NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is published and the required disclosure is shown below. However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparisons with any other practice.

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in The Victoria Practice in the last financial year (2016/17) was £73,460 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 2 full time GPs, 2 part time GPs and 2 locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.

Patient Participation Group

For serveral years now we have had a partient reference group that we consulted by e-mail about the services we offer at Victoria Practice. We would really like to change this to a group that meets with GPs and Practice Managment on a regular basis, possibly three to six times each year, to discuss service updates and how the practice works for patients. Ideally we would like this group to be a representative mix of the kind of people who make up our patient list, so if you are interested in helping out do please let us know by completing the form to the right. Please return your completed form to our reception desk and we will contact you within a few days. If you'd just like to know more about the group please send an e-mail with PPG in the title to:

Making a Complaint

We do our best to deliver a high standard of care at all times and we always welcome your comments or suggestions where you feel that may not be the case. If you ever have any issues or concerns regarding our practice, your care, the doctors or members of staff, please ask to speak with the practice manager or, if you prefer, put it in writing. A complaint form is available at reception or you can download one here.
